Wearable Art, Fashion, Education, Creativity.

I am interested in drawing and painting when I was young. I have studied fashion design in the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. I was the pioneer for organizing and teaching fashion design workshops to local secondary schools in Hong Kong since 2008. International schools are joining in these few years as well. I would like to contribute myself in the field of education, as I think education plays a considerable impact in the all rounded development and the personal growth of the students. I would like to introduce fashion workshops by the inspiration of wearable art and expressive art elements to improve students’ social well-being in my live project. Wearable art is combining fashion and art which do not constraint the imagination of the students. The product which can be displayed visually.
I would like to show my support to the youth. I have gathered all these ideas to make an online platform from Facebook, which is called Art Roll to introduce and promote the fashion wearable art workshops. This online platform is opened for students and those who are interesting in learning fashion wearable art and other fashion skills. There are different artists engaging in the platform for teaching students.

In my project, I have found that majority students in Hong Kong are undertaking stresses from homework, assignments and parent expectations. There are many emotional problems for primary and secondary school students in these years. The number of students who got depression and committed suicide has been surprisingly increased. As we know that committed suicide is preventable, it can be caused by many factors like family and situational environment. This alerts me to investigate into more details and help the local school students to relief their stress and strengthen their social well-being. From the result of the questionnaires, students find enjoyment when they attend art and music lessons, science and technology with activities. I have also interviewed some teachers about the performance and utility of the wearable workshops by informal face to face meeting. They agree that students are having so much fun during the learning process. We should show our support to the youth and this requires collaborated efforts of teachers and parents.
Besides teaching fashion workshops at schools, I have gathered all these ideas to make an online platform from Facebook, which is called Art Roll to introduce and promote the fashion wearable art workshops. This online platform is opened for students and those who are interesting in learning fashion wearable art and other fashion skills. There are different artists engaging in the platform for teaching students.
